While having thirty Rachel's running around in this world would be less than ideal [more along the lines of nightmarishly haunting]... I found this photo quite amusing. I've always loved the mirrors that give you an endless look at repetition. It's so bizarre and unnatural. That's all I really came here to say... because I don't really feel like talking about anything else right now.
Hmm...well, and I guess why not another excerpt from the book I'm reading... because the words are just so edible to me... and because the occurrence described here is one with which I can readily identify:
"A man may be saying all the right words, yet be contradicting his words by the insincere manner in which he says them. You hear him, and while you intellect is saying "true," your spirit is saying "false." It is possible to know the truth yet not walk in it, and the truth is really in us, and we in it, only to the degree that we actually walk in it." - Art Katz; The Spirit of Truth
How many times have correct bible verses or Christian phrases been uttered to me or around me and I could only cringe because there was no spirit of truth within the one who was speaking them... there was no catch, nothing behind them to compel... just heavy words that had been cheapened to the lightness of popcorn by the speaker, himself. It's the walk before the talk.
I definitely need to start reading Art Katz. There is so much truth in that excerpt and it really got me thinking.
