Cracked from Clay

Cracked from clay, claim to be made unto the Maker’s way
Shaded gray, not listening to what the Savior say

Wayward dreams, ballooned and popped
Self-chosen, to be marooned and stopped
Due to your self-sufficiency
Your part-time delinquency
No Truth can hold you, No Truth can hold you

Cracked from clay, claim to be made unto the Maker’s way
Shaded gray, not listening to what the Savior say

Looks like your life’s been islanded
Thought you could serve Christ off-handed
Walking righteous?
Serving God, just not tonight
Losing unity, lost without community

I’m telling you where you’ll find the careless
Living in that box sealed, airless
Shut up within themselves
Perched on dusty shelves
They’ll become worthless, they’ll become worthless

Careless, fareless, waiting with hitchhiker’s thumb
For the free ride to come, Didn’t He tell you?
It’ll always cost it all, It’ll always cost it all

Cracked from clay, claim to be made unto the Maker’s way
Shaded gray, not listening to what the Savior say

What’s it gonna take
for you to set things straight
Unamused with your ability to circumvent
Waiting at the cross for you to truly repent

Cracked from clay, made unto the Maker’s way
Living in Light, watching the world ignite
