My Haitian-Hearted Friend

I am SO proud of my friend (and post-roommate) Lisa. She has been on several trips to Haiti over the past few years and with each trip she takes her love and passion for the country intensify. Hearing the news of the earthquake, she immediately thought of all the ones she loves down in Haiti and knew she had to get there.
As a soon-to-be graduate of nursing school there are many ways she can offer her support in an earthquake-stricken country. Sure enough, determined Lisa (with the powerful help of God's hand) found a way to get there. She has been there for the past week serving graciously. To see a few glimpses of what she has done, check out her blog.

And praise God with me that He has created people like Lisa. People that I can relate with. People that inspire me. People whose very lifestyles challenge my own. People who refuse to sit tight in safety and comfort when there is a need and a call.
(I love you Lisa. You've impacted my life in profound ways. And I don't use words like that lightly. I have high hopes of serving side-by-side with you someday.)
