So by the time Friday came I really would have rather spent the weekend by myself (praying, studying, and getting some well-needed extra sleep) than go on the weekend retreat for GIT.
God, however, surprised me (as He often does) by giving me an amazing weekend with brothers and sisters completely in love with the Lord. When we took time to discuss what God had been laying on our hearts regarding this upcoming year, I was STUNNED that God had brought the same things to our attentions. His presence in our weekend, throughout our prayer and planning, was amazing. I couldn't even sleep Friday night because I was so thankful for the way He showed up that evening.
I am also SUPER excited that we get to work with missionaries from Germany that are staying on our campus this year. They met at this college and have been doing mission work in Berlin for 10 years now. I already love them so much.
