It sure feels good to be a girl again.
The transition home from Gabon was hard, as usual. I've been processing a lot. Taking some time to think and breathe. To look back over my pictures to recall the fun moments and lessons I learned.
It's so weird to me to have an amazing 17 day adventure of growth and experiencing God, with a team always by your side sharing it all with you... only to come home and have it all be over in one night.
People ask about it, but they don't really want to hear all of the stories, all of the details. They can't understand exactly how I've changed. Or what I saw.
And that's okay. It really is. It's all just a part of the transition.
Transition is a word that is heavy on my mind lately. Transitioning home from college. And back to Africa. And back home. Only to have a hundred things to take care of before I transition back to Africa at the end of July.
It's the life I've chosen. The life I love. But that doesn't make it easy.
Well... I'm going to go find something cute to wear with my heels. My cousin is getting married tomorrow!
Gorgeous legs! I really do want to hear about Africa! I was looking through your pics and the children all are so cute. We should try and get together before I leave for Hungary!
ReplyDeleteCute Pic! ....it even looks like your in the sand. Oh if only right...
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad you're back and I'm thankful to have heard the longest version yet. I'd still like to hear more too...you know I LOVE details!
: )
Transition..what a word. Not sure how much I like it.
