There's something in the sun and the air today that makes me feel more alive.
I booked it off campus with my roommate Becca for some time away at a coffee shop.
I'm sitting here between an open book ("Kira-Kira") for adolescent literature, a laptop boasting some of the sweetest, soothing beats around via Pandora Radio and a junior cup of caramel cooler.

I must say, I love reading. I love writing. I love music. I love art.
Creativity.
Ideas.
Expression.
Certainly the secular world has a slick way of putting a twist on each of them, allowing them to stand with more significance then they really hold... but there is a beauty and freedom in being able to manipulate mediums in our world to show others what we are thinking, feeling or what we know.
On a Lyrical Note:
"What started as a whisper, Slowly turned in to a scream.
Searching for an answer Where the question is unseen.
I don't know where you came from And I dont know where you've gone.
Old friends become old strangers Between the darkness and the dawn."
"A candle throws its light into the darkness
In a nasty world,so shines the good deed
Make sure the fortune, that you seek
Is the fortune you need.
So tell me why the first to ask is the last to give everytime
What you say and do not mean
Follow too close behind"
"Hopelessly
I feel like there might be something that I'll miss
Hopelessly
I feel like the window closes oh so quick
Hopelessly
I'm taking a mental picture of you now
'Cuz hopelessly
The hope is we have so much to feel good about"
Have a spare 5 minutes? - watch this weird music video. Yes, it is weird. But I like it.
Passenger - Wicked Man's Rest
Have a spare 20 minutes? - watch this video. It is a woman from Nigeria who talks about the necessity of having many voices and perspectives in literature (and life). Her points are compelling and enlightening.
Chimamanda Adichie
Oh, and as a final comment,
I REALLY miss sights like this:

: ) Aren't they just BEAUTIFUL??
Here's to some time away...gotta love it!
