The Beginning

***

All of the necessary preparations have been made...

The skirts have been packed...

The first two days of malaria pills have been ingested...

The "one-last-taste" ice cream has been eaten... (along with, if you must know, another turkey wrap)

The good-byes have been said...

The iPod has been loaded with the latest Trevor Hall CD...

The notes for family have been sneakily left around the house...

The carry-on is complete with C.S. Lewis's Mere Christianity, a Bible, and journal...

The tickets, passport and ID are nestled safely in my purse...

And I have my Tanzania smile on. I think I'm ready for this great beginning. : )

(oh... and my teeth have been brushed by my brother... haha)
