There is something great about knowing that 'old friends' last even through the periodical absence of communication. There is something even better about these old friends when you can rest assured that they are grounded in Christ and won't be 'changing like the wind' while you are away from one another. The deal-sealer, however, is reserved for those reuniting moments... an e-mail in the middle of the week just to say 'miss you'... a message on my voicemail saying we need to talk soon... or a two hour phone conversation on a Saturday night to catch up on all that we've missed.
As soon as I started talking to my best friend Anna (who moved to NY in May and whom I miss very much) on the phone tonight, a spark was ignited as I recalled all of our connections and past experiences... as the conversation rolled on it was like we had never parted and I remembered that the God who sent us in different directions would never fail to bring us together again. Tonight, I feel like I am going to sleep with a little more life because of this friendship and am able to praise God for encouraging me through Anna.
I love you Anna... enjoy a small timeline of our pictures : )

Ha, boy I didn't know I was so scary "back in the day" lol. I couldn't help but smile, though! (my eye brows change the most, check it out for a big chuckle!)
ReplyDeleteI loved the blog, thanks.
Thanks be to God, also, for keeping you so close to me!
